  1. galaxy cluster: An accumulation of
  2. galaxies that are gravitationally
  3. bound to each other. Galaxy clusters
  4. vary in population from small (20
  5. members) to immense (10,000+
  6. members). Our galaxy, the Milky
  7. Way, belongs to a small cluster
  8. known as the Local Group. 
  9.  Galaxy clusters are both regular and
  10. irregular. Irregular clusters are not
  11. spherically symmetric and contain a
  12. mixture of all types of galaxies.
  13. Regular clusters tend to be
  14. spherically shaped and are dominated
  15. by elliptical galaxies.
